Mark is the co-founder of Compare Your Funding, founded in 2013 after seeing a real gap in the market for a genuine and honest approach to business funding, particularly invoice finance. Having experienced first-hand how often businesses are guided towards products that aren't necessarily the right fit, the aim has always been to build something different: a service focused on finding the best solution for each business, based on their needs.

Mark's approach is straight-talking, transparent and client-first. With over a decade in the industry, Mark has helped businesses navigate funding decisions with clarity and confidence. He's driven by finding the right product or service for each client, rather than simply going with the easiest option.

Compare Your Funding started by specialising in invoice finance, and over time has grown and evolved in line with clients' requirements. Today, we support businesses with a wide range of funding options including bridging loans, commercial mortgages, asset finance, and other tailored solutions as needs change. For Mark, it's about long-term relationships, not quick fixes.

Jamie Grimshaw is the Commercial Director at Compare Your Funding, where he leads the development of funder relationships, oversees the continual improvement of systems and processes, and drives the company's national client growth strategy. He plays a central role in ensuring businesses across the UK can access clear, well-structured, and commercially appropriate funding solutions.

Jamie brings over 23 years of banking experience with RBS and NatWest, where he specialised in the relationship management of SMEs across a wide range of sectors. During this time, he built a strong reputation for supporting business owners through growth, change, and challenge, delivering tailored financial solutions aligned to both commercial goals and long-term sustainability.

In addition to his banking career, Jamie has worked within a fund management business, helping regional companies secure funding to support expansion and investment, and for a specialist property funder, further strengthening his understanding of complex funding structures and lender requirements. This breadth of experience enables him to bridge the gap between businesses and funders, ensuring the right products and structures are put in place to deliver the best possible outcomes.

Karl started his career in operational roles, where he gained a solid understanding of how businesses really work day to day. Alongside this, he naturally became involved in sales, which helped to develop a strong appreciation for building relationships and finding the right solutions for customers.

As his experience grew, Karl decided to take his career in a new direction and move into a dedicated business role. What quickly became clear was that he found the greatest satisfaction in helping businesses find funding that genuinely suited their needs, rather than forcing them into a single option.

Karl has played rugby since the age of 12, and it has shaped a lot of how he approaches both life and business. The discipline, teamwork, and camaraderie the game teaches are values which are carried into his work every day. Just like on the field, every business is different, and success comes from understanding strengths, working together, and having a clear game plan.

As the youngest member of the Compare Your Funding team, George is developing his skills and experience while continuing with his agriculture studies. He plays a supportive role across the business, assisting team members and helping things run smoothly behind the scenes.
